At Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley on Thursday April 21st, 2011 of Edgar "Layton" Millar of Lady Slipper Villa, O’Leary, formerly of Ellerslie in his 103rd year. Dear husband of the late Rosella (Williams) Millar. Layton was born in Ellerslie on Jan. 28, 1909, son of the late Joshua and Penrose (Phillips) Millar. Father in law of Erwin Dennis, Ellerslie and Blanche Millar, Halifax. Loving granddad of nine grandchildren Barry (Susan) Dennis, Fredericton, NB; Barbara Sheen (Hugh Graham), St. Andrews NB; Brian (Edna) Dennis, Ellerslie; Betty (Elzie) Smith, Bideford; Bruce (Marigail) Dennis, Fredericton, NB; Dorothy (Bob) Steeves, Darlene Cole, Carole (Kevin) Barker all of Halifax and David (Jenn) Millar, Greenwood, NS, 22 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, daughter Olive Dennis, son Cyril and two sons in infancy; brothers and sisters Marguerite, Sterling, Lloyd, Alton, Verna, Daisy, Mae, Ivan, Glenford and Roy. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Sunday 6-8 p.m. Funeral service on Monday at the Bideford-Conway United Church at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Bideford United Cemetery. Memorials to the Bideford-Conway United Church would be appreciated.
