PITCHER, Frederick L. (Ted) — Passed away on October 26, 2008 at home with family. Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland October, 1925, the youngest child of the late Joshua and Fannie Pitcher. In 1947, he left home and moved to Boston, MA. Mr. Pitcher served as a Sergeant in the USAF until discharged in 1952. He went to Franklin Institute where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1953. He spent his entire career working on commercial buildings in the New England area, eventually owning his own company, PBS Mechanical. Leaving to mourn: his beloved wife of 55 years, S. Maxine Pitcher; sons Scott (Julie) of Hinsdale, IL and Geoffrey (Michelle) of Saintes, France along with much loved grandchildren Dylan and Sam of Saintes, France, Jessa, Griffin, Erin and Elizabeth of Hinsdale, IL. He also leaves his brother Eric (Ruby) and sister Doris Rendell, sisters-in-law Rose Pike, Ruby Carter, Daphne Bourdeaux and Doreen (Bill) Ryan. Pre-deceased by brother Ralph and sisters Mildred Johnson, Ella Pitcher, Florie Pitcher, brothers-in-law Arthur Pike, Colin Pike, Frank Carter, Leonard Johnson and Carl Rendell. Ted had numerous nieces, nephews and friends with whom he shared a loving bond. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6th, 2 p.m. at the North Shore Community Baptist Church, 9 Hart Street in Beverly Farms, MA.
