STANLEY, Mr. (Reverend) Frank, answered his highest calling on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, when he passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK. Frank was born on January 22, 1917 in Bramley, Hampshire, England. In 1924 he arrived in Canada with his family and grew up in Vernon, BC. He married Marjorie in 1941 and they enjoyed a blessed and happy marriage for 67 years, until her passing in August, 2008. Frank’s life was marked by a dedication to God and others. During WWII he served overseas with the Canadian Army as a nursing orderly with the Medical Corp. Following the war, he completed Bible College and became an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. He retained this ordination for his remaining 60 years. He and Marjorie dedicated their lives to the ministry, pastoring several congregations in BC and SK, while also raising four children. They “retired” and moved to Prince Albert, SK, in 1976 and, in 1981, became involved with their daughter’s New Way Bible Bookstore, where Frank clerked until his 90th year (he enjoyed the Bible Dept. best). He was always happy to speak when invited by local churches, sharing the gospel message that he loved. His passion and talent for both vegetable and flower gardening brought much pleasure to his family and those who shared the beauty and rewards of his “green thumb“. Frank will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his eldest son, Doug (Evelyn) of Prince George, BC; daughter, Donna (Delbert) Dynna, of Prince Albert, SK; son, David (Felicia), of Calgary, AB; son, Delbert (Lisa), of Regina, SK; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brother, Bill, and sister, Ivy, and countless friends who were blessed by his dedication. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie, his parents, brother Vernon, and sisters Dorothy and Annie. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009, at Crossroads Pentecostal Assembly, 1510 Olive Diefenbaker Drive, Prince Albert, SK, with Pastor Ches Jacobs officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Gideon Bible Society, Salvation Army or the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
