It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Samms announce his passing at his residence on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at the age of 62 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his common-law partner, Genevieve Bennett; Genevieve's children: Jeffrey, Wesley and Kirk Bennett and Trina (Kerry) Compagnion; Genevieve's six grandchildren; brothers James Samms (Gail), Bernard Samms (Nancy) and John Samms (Shelly); sisters Shirley Samms Prosper (Peter) and Sharlene Samms (Brad); special God Daughter Sharlette Samms; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Wilson and Yvonne Samms; Brothers Kenneth and Paul and Sisters Joan and Betty. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 10:30 AM from Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Benoits Cove, followed by the interment at the Church Cemetery.
