Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Cynthia Edgar, age 71 years. Predeceased by her parents: Ernest and Rowena Whitten; sisters: Florence (Richard) Power, Helen (Jack) Denine; father-in-law Frederick Edgar; mother-in-law Constance Edgar and brother-in-law John Edgar. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories, her husband of 53 years Barry; daughter Gail (Gary), sons: Paul (Tina) and Mark (Sonya); grandchildren: Matthew (Amanda), Jason (Nikki), Jeremy, Joshua and Nicholas; sisters: Gloria (Fred) and Glenys (Harry - deceased); brothers: Bill (Marie), Roy (Madeline), Richard (Helen) and Randy (Leona - deceased); brother-in-law Allen (Debbie); sister-in-law Hazel (John - deceased); a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends both here and in England. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Dr. L.A. Miller Centre and Shea Heights Medical Centre, as well as the clergy of St. Peter's On the Rock. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to celebrate the life of Cynthia will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, October 26 at St. Peter's On the Rock, Learning Road, Shea Heights at 2 pm. No flowers by request.
