NEIL FRANCIS MACLENNAN
We, the family of the late Neil Francis MacLennan of Benacadie/Sydney Mines, wish to extend our sincere thanks to all our family, friends, neighbors, those who traveled to be with us to offer your love and support during this difficult time in our lives. Thank you to all those who came to the wake and attended Dad's funeral. All those who phoned, visited our home, brought and served food, offered masses, sent flowers, sympathy cards and made charitable donations in Dad's memory. Your acts of kindness and generosity gave us comfort and strength. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Errol MacDonald (celebrant) for his prayers, visits and the beautiful funeral mass concelebrated with Fr. Paul Abbas, Fr. Lazarus, Fr Joe MacNeil, Fr. Hughie MacNeil and Fr. Francis Cameron and for the inspiring and comforting homily. To the pallbearers, Allan MacLennan (nephew), Alex Kothe (nephew), Mary Margaret Kennedy(niece), Tim MacNeil (family friend), Ken MacNeil(grandson), and Neil Gordon (grandson), thank you. A heartfelt thanks to the St. Barra's Choir, fiddler Carl MacKenzie, altar servers, Eucharistic minister, Katherine MacNeil, readers Jamie MacNeil (nephew), Theresa Small (niece) and Darlene Muise (family friend). Thank you to great-granddaughter Caitlyn Phillips and granddaughter Alison Gordon for taking up the offertory gifts. A special thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Christmas Island Fire dept. for the lovely lunch following mass, the grave diggers and to the Legion Members from Branch 124 in Iona for your presence and Honor Guard at church and graveside and also to the Bugler. You all did a great job in honoring Daddy!
Finally, to Chants funeral home for your compassion and kindness and professionalism that helped ease the pain of the loss of our dear father. Everyone's thoughtfulness and kindness shown to us will always be remembered. God bless you all!
