Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, after a courageous battle with Cancer, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, Lucy Ann Chafe (nee Finn) age 72 years. Predeceased by her parents: James and Mary Finn; sister Martha Finn; brother James Finn Jr.; special sister-in-law Bernice Chafe and many other family members of the Finn and Chafe families. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 52 years Cyril; son Christopher; special niece/daughter Mary Chafe-Clarke (Shawn) and her pride and joy Brandon and Zackery Clarke; special sister Ann Putt (Douglas-deceased). Also leaving to mourn her sisters: Margaret Seaward (Andrew-deceased), Theresa O'Dea (Peter-deceased), Rose Blyde (Tom), Bessie Hearn (James), Philomena Chafe (Cecil-deceased), Rita Chafe (George), Pauline Chafe (Gordon-deceased); brother: Michael Finn; sister-in-law Ivy Finn; brother-in-law Joseph Finn; special friends: Kevin and Cora Clarke; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday from 7-9pm and then on Sunday from 12noon-9pm. Funeral Mass to be held from St. Kevin's Parish, Goulds, NL on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow the service.
