1922- 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antoinette Beulah Wijeyesinghe on April 23, 2011.

She is survived by her loving son Cornel (Hema) and grandsons Angelo and Udara as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband Earle and siblings Edith, Rene, Cora , Patsy and William.

Antoinette spent her entire working life in the area of Medical Statistics. She was awarded scholarships by WHO to represent her country, Sri-Lanka, internationally on at least two occasions.

She was deeply spiritual using her God given strength to fend for herself and her son following the premature death of her husband. It also provided sustenance and gave her the fortitude to accept and tolerate the iniquities she suffered during the last few months of her life.

The Reverend Father Derrick Cameron will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
