Suddenly but peacefully, on Friday, August 7, 2009, in his 82nd year. Originally from New Annan. Predeceased by his wife Lorraine (nee Watson), originally from Summerside. Loving father of Marlene Dopko (Dan) of Kitchener; Sharon of Vancouver; Gail Tuck (Ken George) of Cambridge; Nadine Pope (Stephen) of Elliot Lake; John (Kathy) of Mississauga; Penny Deveaux (Bucky) of Mississauga; Mike (Stacey) of Ottawa and Roy (Maureen) of Oakville, and two angels, Lloyd and Joan, who died in infancy. Devoted grandfather to 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Arlene Gillis of Boston and Ruth Lambe of Charlottetown. Predeceased by sister Peggy Gormley. Proud long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Past president of United Transportation Union, Local 107. Funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Grimsby, Ontario, on Tuesday, August 11 at 11 a.m. Interment Queen’s Lawn Cemetery followed by a reception at the church.
