FRIESEN - Virginia Eleanor (nee Hagman) was born July 8 1921 on the family farm near Waldeck. She passed away April 21 2011 at the Herbert Integrated Long Tern Care Facility. Survived by son Wayne (Marie) grandchildren; Tyler, Colin (Sandy); great grandchildren Luke and Logan, daughter Bea (John); grandchildren ;Sheri (Tim); great grandchildren Hunter, Jaeda, Gage, and Ashtyn; granddaughter, Patti and great grandson Nicholas; brothers and sisters Edna Meyer, Clayton Hagman and Quinton Hagman. Predeceased by Husband Nick, parents Fritz and Amanda Hagman; brothers and sisters Elwood, Kermit, Mary, Victoria and Inez. Virginia took her schooling at Spenst school, she married Nick on June 29 1940. They farmed at Waldeck and stayed on the farm after they retirement until they moved to Swift Current in Aug 2005. She enjoyed baking, music, dancing, playing cards and travelling. She touched many lives, especially her family who meant the world to her. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Cappelle officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson and a poem was read by great-granddaughter Jaeda. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Saskatchewan.
