Margaret “Betty†Hogan nee Watts, was born on October 26, 1925 in North Battleford, SK, she left us all too soon on August 7, 2009 at the age of 83. Betty was predeceased by her son Bob; her parents John Robert and Margaret Patricia Watts and her brothers Danny and Jack. Betty is survived by her son Bob’s wife Jan Ryan & their children Greg and Joelle; her daughter Peggy (Albert) Roy & their children Larry, James, Russell, Mark, Jeff and Amanda; her son Doug (Judy) Hogan & their children Kayla and Lucas; her two sisters Evelyn and Edith Peterson and 15 great grandchildren. Betty also had numerous nieces, cousins and friends. Betty was a well loved and respected registered nurse at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert for 30 years until she retired in 1988, after which she dedicated her time to her children, grandchildren and many pets. She lived on 24th Street in Prince Albert for most of those years where she spent much of her time tending to her beloved flower garden and cheering for her Toronto Blue Jays. In 2006 she moved out to the farm with Peggy and Albert where she spent three happy years feeding and watching humming birds, collecting eggs from the chickens, gently caring for her prized rose garden and spending countless hours with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved and admired her immensely. Betty will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her gentle and loving spirit is of a quality and beauty in which we can only hope to aspire and strive towards in our own lives.
