CRAIG - On Tuesday, April 19, 2011 Mable Craig of Gull Lake, SK passed away at the age of 91 years. The funeral service was held from Knox United Church in Gull Lake, SK on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Bev Diduck officiating. Music for the service was provided by Millie Spagrud and Nora Rudolph. The eulogy was presented by Adele Kirwan and Jason Berger. Pallbearers were Jason Berger, Chris Kirwan, Jeff Kirwan, Shawn Steele, Earl McKee and Lyle McKee. Interment will take place in Turtleford Cemetery at a later date. Mable is survived by her daughters Norma (Alvin) Berger and Jeanne (Blaine) Kirwan; grandchildren Jason (Amanda) Berger, Chris (Marjie) Kirwan, Heather (Shawn Steele) Berger,
Jeff (Adele) Kirwan; great grandchildren Kayla, Taylor, Baylee, Jamie Kirwan, Olivia, Sam, Will Kirwan, Hannah Berger, Ethan Steele; her sister Lillian McKee; sister-in-law Betty Craig as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Wilmer; a daughter in infancy; her brother Vernal McKee; sister Marion McKee; brothers-in-law Norman, Bob, Howard Craig, Cliff Courtice; sisters-in-law Marjorie McKee, Marjorie Craig, Gladys Craig, Yvonne Courttice, Alice Storey, Edith Wood
and Marion Craig. Mable was born January 18, 1920 in Spruce Lake, SK. She attended school in Spruce Lake and eventually married Wilmer Craig on October 10, 1946 at Turtleford, SK. She worked at the Spruce Lake General Store and Vern's Drycleaner in Gull Lake as well as Gull Lake Hospital. She was a member of the bridge club and was an avid vegetable gardener. She also enjoyed bingo and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. Mable worked at the general store in Spruce Lake until her marriage in 1946. They farmed at Turtleford until they moved to Coleville, SK in 1956. They moved to Kindersley in 1963, then in 1964 they moved
to Gull Lake where she resided until her passing. In memory of Mable, donations can be made to the Gull Lake Ambulance or to the Gull Lake Special Care Home Auxiliary.
