Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, Carmel Cole (nee Mahoney) of Colliers, age 85 years. Predeceased by her husband John (June 2005), son John Francis (Aug. 2005), parents Timothy and Ellen Mahoney, sister Johanna, brothers-in-law James Brown, Edward Kavanagh and Timothy O’Toole. Leaving to mourn her son Gerry; daughter Darlene (David) Croke; one grandson David John Croke; daughter-in-law Cheryl Cole; three sisters: Elizabeth Mahoney, Agnes Kavanagh and Catherine O’Toole; her many friends at Comfort Manor, Holyrood and Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home, Clarke’s Beach, where she resided. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour. Visitation Thursday and Friday, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
