ADAMS, Venita Shirley - 84, of New Ross passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Courtney and Florence (Palmer) Keddy. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and the church choir. She was a member of the Chairing Cross Garden Club and a long-time member of the New Ross Farmer’s Association. She is survived by a daughter, Ardith Adams (Michael Turner), Cambridge; two grandchildren, Courtney and Stephen; a brother, Stuart “Buck” (Helen), New Ross; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil; two sisters, Margaret Hiltz and Marilyn McDow; a brother, Arthur. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, Reverend Val Rymes officiating. Burial took place in Christ Church Cemetery, New Ross. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation.
