Wilfred Arvid Erickson
April 12, 1925 – April 26, 2011
Wilf will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Janet (Derald); his son Jerry (Patti); grandchildren Brett (Darbi), Cory (Wayne) and Steven (Laura Lee); great-grandchildren Brydon, Brooklyn, Rebecca, Liam, Aspen, Logan and one surviving brother Lloyd (Ruth). Wilf is predeceased by his parents Arvid and Olive Erickson; his siblings Donny, Ruth, Betty, Clifford, Esther and Marg and his loving wife Alice. Wilf was born in Mossbank, Saskatchewan and moved with his family to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where they spent most of their time growing up. Wilf served the South Saskatchewan Regiment in World War II from 1943 – 1946. Wilf safely returned to Moose Jaw where he married Alice Baum and raised their two children. He worked on the Air Base at the Steam Plant for 28 years before he retired. Services were held at the Sherbrook Veterans Home on Friday, April 29. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
