It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Edgar Woodland announce his peacefull passing at his residence in Cox’s Cove on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the age of 82 years.  He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his six children: Clayton (Dianne) of Cambridge, ON, Ruby (Monroe) of Kitchener, ON, Edith (Bernard) of St. John’s, NL, Clyde (Rowena) of Cambridge, ON, Barbara (Wade) of Cox’s Cove, NL, and Sidney of Cambridge, ON, his grandchildren: Tina, Ben, Shianne, Natasha, Sheena, Jennifer, Jamie, Mark, Paul, Amanda, Ashley, Adam, Jordan, Adrian, Cody, Jesse, Amylynn, Destiny, Rochelle, and Lewis, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters: Beatrice & Georgina of Lamaline, NL,  very special caregivers: Alpheus & Dallas Payne and Nuala & Jacob Payne.  He is predeceased by his wife Bonnie (2000), daughters: Elizabeth  Ann and Brenda Marie, parents: Sidney & Deborah Woodland, in-laws: Stephen & Lillian Payne, brothers: Eber, William, Sidney, Clyde, Thomas, sisters: Violet, Elsie, Hilda, Harriet, and Gertrude, sisters-in-law: Margaret Brown & Elizabeth Ann Payne,  brother-in-law Stedman Blanchard.  Visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove, NL on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, May 2, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. The family guest book may be signed or memorial donations may be made by visiting our website at www.country-haven.ca.
