Plumridge, Rosyllen Yvonne “Rose”
Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on April 27th, 2011, at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital with her family by her side. Rose, at the age of 73, predeceased by her beloved husband John Paul (2002), sisters Irene and Loretta and by brothers Peter and Art. Loving mother of Janet Dunford (Barry), Carla Beadle (Don), Paulette Plumridge (Roy Trottier), Yvonne Wray (Daryn), Jackie Riley (Steve), Paul Jr. (Debbie), 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Bea and Kay and by her brothers Gerald, Marty and Wilf. Rose was born to Peter and Katherine Venne in Devlin, Ontario on Sept. 4th, 1937 in the family home. She attended school in Devlin. She married John Paul in 1954 and began their family together in Fort Frances, Ontario. The family moved to Moose Jaw in 1976 where Paul worked as an electrician. The couple enjoyed bowling but mostly enjoyed time with family at home. After Paul’s passing in 2002, Rose enjoyed travel with her brothers and sisters to Ontario. She enjoyed brief trips to Saskatoon until health issues prevented her from traveling. She lived in Temple Towers until 2006 moving to Capilano Court and then to Extendicare in 2009. At Rose’s request there will be a private family gathering at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Monday May 2nd, 2011. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
