Winnie (Agnes Winifred) Baker (nee Scott) passed away peacefully at age 92 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Spruce Manor Special Care Home in Dalmeny, Sask. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Russell, son Lynn, brothers Jim and Bill and sisters Julia, Eunice and Esther. Winnie was born in Carlyle, England and lived in Moose Jaw for almost 80 years before moving to Saskatoon. She was an accomplished violinist, a duplicate bridge Grand Master and made the best pastry ever. She loved to travel and visited many parts of the world with the Old Goats Hockey Club of North Vancouver. She will be greatly missed by son Warren (Brigitta), daughters Marlene and Brenda (Forbes), daughter-in-law Sue, sisters Lucille and Violet, sister-in-law Margaret, grandson Tyson, granddaughters Kari, Lori, Kim (Christian), Jerai (Harley), Orlanda and Steffi, great-grandchildren Ashley, Linda, Alexander and Annalie, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Moose Jaw in the coming weeks.
