FAIR, CHRISTINE FLORENCE (nee Hennigar) – 88 – passed away peacefully at Ocean View Manor on August 10, 2009. Mom was born in the “Valley”, but lived most of her married life in Truro before moving to Dartmouth to be closer to her children. She retired from Colchester Hospital 31 years ago and she and her late husband “Scotty” became “snowbirds”, living the winter months in Florida for 28 years. She loved doing crafts and had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening. She was also a life-member of the Eastern Star. You will be sadly missed, Mom, by your daughter Judith Ritchie (Ron); son Ian (Leslie); grandchildren Shera-Lee (Gordon Kerr), Ronda, Shaun, Robbie (Erin) and Carrie; great-grandchildren Jasmine, Sophia & Isla; brothers Raymond & Arnold; sisters Jenny & Gloria; and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Scotty on this same date in 2006; son Bobby, daughter-in-law Peggy; sister Margaret; brother Gordon; and parents Craimer &Yolanda Hennigar. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home. No visitation by request. A private family graveside service will be held with burial in the Robie Street Cemetery in Truro.
