KNIGHT, William Chancey - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on April 29th, 2011 at the Escasoni Nursing Home after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, William Chancey Knight, age 76 years. Predeceased by his parents Gertrude and William Knight and sister Daphne Ainsworth. Lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 50 years, June; sons: Kenneth (Mandy), Gregory (Kathleen) and daughter Pamela Burton (David); three precious grandchildren: Serena, Cadence and Heidi; sisters: Betty Butler (Harold) and Doreen Jellinek (Tommy), also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, May 1st, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to be held from Cochrane Street United Church on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Cochrane Street United Church Restoration Fund, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or Scouts Canada.
