It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, Eldon Livingstone age 67 of Glace Bay. Eldon passed away Friday, April 29, 2011.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lillian (Holland) Livingston. Eldon was a pipe fitter by trade and was a member of Local 682, Sydney.
Eldon is survived by brothers, John (Joan), Glace Bay, Patrick (Bernice), Dominion; sisters, Winnifred Stewart, Reserve Mines, Maureen (Ron) Young, Halifax, Geraldine (Wayne) Lewis, Reserve Mines; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Eldon was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen, brothers, Raymond, Jr. and Brian.
In honoring Eldon’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A private family funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Reserve Mines.
