Keddy, Kenneth “Kenny” George — 64, of Union Corner, Hants County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 24, 2011, with his family by his side. Born on April 5, 1947, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late George and Merna (Keddy) Reynolds. Kenny was owner/operator for the past 20 years of Flushbusters, and was very proud of the fact that he was No. 1 in the No. 2 business. He worked for Dexter Construction and previously owned/operated KBF Excavating. He had also worked with Earl MacAskill Excavating and Avard Salter Excavating. He enjoyed, and was very proud of, his grandchildren, and his family meant the most to him. Kenny is survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Barbara Harvey; children, Tanya (Michael) Singer, Centre Burlington, Tracy Keddy (Mark Dearman), Brooklyn, and Scott (Melissa) Keddy, Brooklyn; grandchildren, Mitchell and Madison Singer, and Lucas Keddy; siblings, Miles (Janice) Keddy, Halifax, Doreen Benedict, Belmont, Darlene (Richard) Sanford, Cogmagun, Clarke Keddy, Belmont, and Randy (Sherry) Keddy, Windsor; half-brothers, Arthur (Joanne) Reynolds, Nanaimo, BC, and Laurie (Eleanor) Reynolds, Kitimat, BC; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George and Merna (Keddy) Reynolds, he was predeceased by a brother, Terry Keddy; sister, Sheila Keddy; and half-sister, Joan Simmons. Visitations were held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment was in Sandyland Cemetery, Cogmagun, Hants County, followed by a reception at the Brooklyn Civic Centre. Family flowers only.
