Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Friday, April 29, 2011, Mr. Randell Caines, age 89 years of Pool’s Cove. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Lottie; sons, Simeon (Elsie) and Gordon (Marie) at Pool’s Cove, and Roland (Gloria) at Grand Bank; daughters, Patsy, residing with her Mom at Pool’s Cove, Sylvia (Leslie) at Mose Ambrose and Evelyn (Albert) at Pool’s Cove; thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; brother, Freeman (Amy) at Pool’s Cove plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his loving daughter, Lucy, in 1983; brothers, Henry, Samuel and Ephriam; sisters, Elsie and Deliah; and mother and father, Gladys and Simeon Caines. Funeral service was held on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at 3:00 pm from McDermott Memorial United Church in Pool’s Cove with Rev. Gary Adams officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery in Pool’s Cove.
