It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Minnie Ruth Delaney (Reynolds) at Pleasantview Towers on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 age 91 years. Predeceased by her husband, Theophilus M. (1983); infant son, James (1948); father and mother, Thomas and Rhoda Reynolds; stepmother, Olive Reynolds; sisters, Mildred Osmond and Susie Noftle; brothers, Norman and Caleb; brothers-in-law, William Osmond, Harry Noftle, Clifford Butt and Warrick Boone; sister-in-law, Margaret Reynolds. Leaving to mourn daughters, Una Biggs (Erling) and Sharon Tavernor (Fred); sons, Blair (Shirley) and Glenn (Annie); grandchildren, Beverly Blackwood (Lloyd), Jennifer Butt (Brian), Natasha Fulford, Michael Delaney (Erin), Kayla Delaney and Stephanie Delaney (Zack Gosse); great-grandchildren, Hayley, Emily, B.J., Sarah, Nicholas, Erin, Evan and Nathon. Also leaving to mourn brothers, Thomas (Isabel), Clayton (Janet) and Berkley; sisters, Marjorie Reynolds, Stella Butt, Roseann Slade (Eric), Nina Butt (Harold); sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Reynolds and Eldora Boone as well as many special nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at 2NW Pleasantview Towers for their loving hands and kind hearts. Visitation to be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 7-9pm and then on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service in Barrett’s Reception Centre. Interment to be held at The United Church Cemetery, Broad Cove, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, our mother’s wish was for donations to be made to the Elaine Dobbin Centre for Autism.
