It is with great sadness that the families of Annie Melissa Payne nee Brake announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017, at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Philip of 57 year’s marriage, her children; Eugene (Dog Max), Paulette (Alfred), Karen (Wayne), Kathy, Margie (Roddie), Vonda (Fred), Stephanie (Jimmy), and Michael, her grandchildren: Christopher, Jason, Kristina, Barry, Brian, Nicko, Noah, Nakisha, Phillip, Julia, Makeala, Dylan, and Darren, her great-grandchildren: Salena, Scarlet, Dakota, Desiree, Travis, Jamie, Emma, Jaida, Mathew, Hailey, her siblings: Robert (Joyce), Ruby (Don), Dinah (Ben), Mercedes, and Marg. Brothers-in-law: Jack (Wanda), Noel (Edna), and Russell. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. Annie was predeceased by her parents; Dinah and Leslie Brake, daughter; Effie, and Infant Son, her brothers and sisters: Ned, Albert, Joan (Ale), Leona, Jane, Judy, and Effie, brother and sister-in-laws: Manium, Lucy, Lizzer, Violet (Doug). The family will be receiving family and friends at the Anglican Church in Trout River, NL, on Thursday, December 14th, 2017, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Friday, December 15th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Kay short officiating with the burial to follow at the Church Cemetery in Trout River, NL.
