Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, of Elinor (Ross) MacPherson, of Charlottetown, aged 82 years. Beloved mother of Sandra MacPhail (Scott), Mt. Buchanan and Kathy MacPherson (Lisa Frye), Charlottetown. Much loved Mammy of grandchildren, Julie Murchison (Robert), Greg MacPhail (Shana Richard), Zachary, MacKenzie, Taylor and Paige Gross, and great-grandmother of Logan Mahar and Elinor Murchison. Survived by her sisters, Anne Carpenter (Rich) and Peggy Criss (Clarence), sisters-in-law, Josephine MacPherson (John, deceased), Bernita MacPherson (Alvin, deceased), Marjorie Neprily (John), and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Donald A. MacPherson, her daughter, Bonnie L. MacPherson, parents, William and Christine Ross, sister, Mary Morrison and her brothers, Elliott and Alexander Ross. No visitation by personal request. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from St. John's Presbyterian Church, Belfast. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to either The Bonnie Lynne MacPherson Scholarship Fund (UPEI) or The Upper Room.
