Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 2, 2011, Mrs. Joan Dale Janes of Spaniard’s Bay, age 65 years. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Matilda Spencer, brother Fred, sisters: Marie and Myrtle. Leaving to mourn are her loving husband George “June” of 46 years; two sons: Major George R.T. Janes wife Joy of Clarkes Beach, NL, Scott wife Anne of Cambridge, Ontario; two daughters: Marilyn husband Gary Ledrew of Cupids, N.L., April husband Reg Saunders of Spaniard’s Bay, N.L.; seven grandchildren: Gordon, Adam, Jordan, Kenneth, Terry, Michael and Rebecca; and a very large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving guests at her late residence in Spaniard’s Bay on Saturday, May 7th at 2 p.m. Inurnment to be announced at a later date.
