Gladys Davidson
DAVIDSON, GLADYS V. - On Monday, May 2, 2011, Gladys Victoria Davidson of Fredericton passed away peacefully at York Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94. Born in Tay Creek, N.B. on December 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late G. Winslow and Emily T. (Bull) Thomas. Gladys was a Homemaker and was affiliated with the Church of England. Gladys leaves behind her four children, Hazel C. MacIntyre, Joan E. Keswick (Wayne), Carole G. Watts and Della M. Davidson all of Fredericton. She was a loving “Nannie” to her nine grandchildren, Karla, Kerri, Korina, Tari Anne, Korali, Heather, William, Taurie, including a special grandson Laurie; 12 great grandchildren including a special great-grandson Michael. Also survived by sisters Freda Hickey and Pearl Buchanan (Jack) and a sister-in-law Dorothy MacKinnon all of Tay Creek, N.B. as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Moses A. Davidson; a sister Marie Hayes; brothers Gerald and Elwood MacKinnon and step-sisters Mabel MacKinnon, Viola Houle and Beatrice Jones.
There will be no visitation hours by request. Following cremation, relatives and friends are welcome to join the family at a memorial service to be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Peter Thomas will officiate. Interment in the Sterling United Church Cemetery, Tay Creek, N.B.
