It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Louise McCarthy announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by her loving family at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 72nd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Jacqueline Locke (Jeff), Gary (Trina), Mary Louise Noel (Rob); daughter-in-law Nancy McCarthy; grandchildren: Stephen (Andrea), Angela (Neil), Tyler, Ashley, Alex (Eva), Joshua, Kelly, and Stephen (Krista); great-grandchildren: Owen, Corey, Seanna, Sean, and Noah; sisters: Ruby Hann and Peggy Dawe (Mac); brothers: Woodrow Head, Harvey Head (Imelda), Fred Shea (Shirley); brother-in-law Walter Miller; her furry friend Simon; and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas McCarthy; son Sean McCarthy; parents Hedley and Alfreda Head; sisters: Marie Head, Lillian Fisher, Maisie Miller; brother Clayton Head; sister-in-law Pearl Head; brothers-in-law: William Fisher and Edwin Hann. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 176 Country Road, Sunday, Dec 17, 2017 from the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will take place at the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 10am, Monday, Dec 18, 2017 with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia. Flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to send a special thank-you to the staff and nurses of 3 south long-term care, Palliative care and 3A. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Dunn and Dr. Scanlon for the compassion, respect, and support that they have shown Louise and the family through this difficult time.
