Thelma Jean MacKinnon age 83, formerly of Eureka and Stellarton passed away on Dec. 17, 2017 at Oceanview Continuing Care, Eastern Passage.
Born in Sunny Brae she was a daughter of the late Walter and Eileen (MacInnis) Greene
Thelma was an employee of the Evening News retiring after 47 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton.
She is survived by her children Susan MacDonald, Dartmouth; Darlene MacKinnon, Halifax; Joe (Margie), Eastern Passage; Todd (Kathy), Stellarton; Daryl, New Glasgow; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; sister Helen Crowell, New Glasgow.
Predeceased by her husband Ronald MacKinnon, brothers Ralph, Myron, and Keith.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where memorial service will be held at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Kenneth MacLeod officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sunny Brae Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
