BREAU, MARIE - Marie Breau, 97, wife of the late Gérard Breau of Robichaud passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton following a short illness. Born in Robichaud, April 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Hyacinthe and Aurélie (LeBlanc) Lirette. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and tending to her flowers. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, four daughters: Eva Brun (Euclide) of Grand Barachois, Simone Breau (Emerild Carroll) of Shediac, Claudette Landry (Jean) of Petit Cap, Dorice Bourque (Jean-Paul) of White Settlement; three sons: Arsène (Rosella), Emerie (Odette) and Laurie (Rosella Gaudet) all of Robichaud; 11 grandchildren: Paul, Joanne, Joanne, Jacques, Jolyne, Nicole, Serge, Gabriel, Chantal, Josée and Yannick; 15 great grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her husband Gérard (December 7, 1994), she is also predeceased by two children: Henri and Florence; five brothers: Eddie, Léandre, Gaspard, Téotime and Lionel Lirette and by five sisters: Léonie Lirette, Eva Lirette, Lucille Cormier, Martha Lirette and Céleste Lirette.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac, N. B. E4P 2G1 (532-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:35 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand Barachois on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
