GAGNON, René "Penguin" – Peacefully on Sunday December 17, 2017. He was 70. He leaves his loving wife of 50 years, Jeannine (Cuerrier) Gagnon. Dear father of Monique Fontaine (Kelly), Natalie Gagnon (Brian) and Stephane Gagnon. Sadly missed by 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Annie, Michael, Brandon, Alesha and 2 great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Lex. Survived by his brothers, Marcel (Nicole), Jean-Paul (Claire), Bernard (Huguette), and sisters, Anita (Michel) and Lise (Claude) Predeceased by his parents, Roland and Emma (Durivage) Gagnon, and his brother,Raymond Gagnon.

Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Friday from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral Mass on Friday December 22, 2017 at 11 am at Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux Catholic Church. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations (by cheque) to the Carefor-Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
