To those who travelled to be with us, who phoned, who brought food to our home, who offered masses, sympathy cards, flowers, monetary gifts, and charitable donations, we thank you. A special thank you to Fr. Paul Abbass for the beautiful mass and homily, and Fr. Joe MacNeil, Fr. Charles Donovan, Fr. Hughie MacNeil, Fr. Francis Cameron, and Fr. Lazarus, who concelebrated mass. To the combined choir of St. Barra's and St. Andrew's, Janet Cameron and Winnie MacDonald, the altar servers, Eucharistic minister Catherine MacNeil, Katie and Maggie MacKinnon, we appreciate your efforts to make this mass so special. Also thank you t the pallbearers: Angus MacNeil, Hugh MacKinnon, Gary George, Brian Madore, Martin MacDonald, and Gerard Coombs. In addition, we thank the Christmas Island Fire Department for their Honor Guard and the Ladies Auxiliary for providing a lovely lunch at the church and the fire hall.
