It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Jack Ramsay Wilson on August 13, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 89. Jack will be missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Hazel (Michael) Kryway and brother Jackie Wilson. Dad was predeceased by his wife Ruby; as well as his sisters Lillian, Erma and his brothers Elmer, Howard and Charles. After a short illness, Dad passed away and leaves to mourn his five children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Dale (Lynne) Wilson & their sons Bill (Tristin) & great grandchildren Sydney& Ryder & their son Christopher; Eileen (Cam) McLelland; Ron (Doris) Wilson & their daughters Jill (Brian) Schneider & great grandchildren Samantha & Reed & their daughter Shae (Chad) Heffernan; & their son Taylor Barrett; Diane Wilson & her son Jamie (Mandy) & daughter Stacey; Barbara (Steve) Melbourne & their son Blair Williams & their daughter Dawn Williams. Jack will also be fondly remembered by a special friend Jennifer Rust. Jack was born in Broomhill, MB and as a young man he worked on the family farm. The family moved to the Spiritwood area and that is where he met his wife, Ruby. In 1941, they began their lives together, Ruby as the principal at the Paddockwood School and Jack was fortunate to purchase his first truck and began his trucking business. Jack and Ruby continued to build and expand their business after moving to Prince Albert. Their transport lines ran from Prince Albert to Tisdale, to Melfort and to Saskatoon. In 1977, they sold their trucking business. He began his second career at Barzeele and Burkosky until he retired in 2004 at the age of 84. Dad had a life of devotion to his family and attended many hockey, baseball & soccer games, and figure skating. Dad enjoyed and supported all community activities. Dad’s work ethic was second to none as can be attested by all who knew him. During his life, Dad was fortunate to have many friends and acquaintances. He touched the lives of many with his sincere, hardworking and friendly manner. Dad was known wherever he went and was always greeted with a warm hello. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
