Margaret passed away peacefully in the arms of her family on May 2, 2011 at 7:31 a.m. in Princeton, B.C. after a courageous battle with cancer at the Adele Nesbitt Palliative Care Unit. Margaret's life was full of love, family, friendships, gardening, travelling, and adventure.

Margaret spent her early life in the Cariboo where she met and married John Rose. They raised their children in Mission Flats and were foster parents to several children. Later in life she moved to the lower mainland and returned to Kamloops, B.C. after the death of her second husband Ken Daisnby, to be closer to her children. Margaret spent the last years of her life in Princeton, B.C. with husband Norman McGivern.

Margaret was a loving sister to her brother James Leask (Rose) and their family.

She was a beloved mother to Jim (Deborah), Allene (Donald), Robert, Darrel, Wendy (Peter) and Margaret (Jim); grandmother to Jamie, Jordan, Sheri-Dawn (Alex), Johnny, Vernon (Sherry), Brandon (Michelle), Tammy (Andy), Justin (Amy), Mathew, Joshua (Rachel), Travis (Jennifer), Jesse; great grandmother to Kiaira-Marie, Josh, James, Trevor, Maddison, Bryce, Isabelle, Brooklynn, Jeremy, Orion, Hannah, Trysten, Wyatt, Emily-Rose and Eli. Dearest lifelong friends with Mary, Del, Mona and her loyal, faithful loving dog Peppy.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Walter Leask and Fran Mills, her son Rory, nephew Kenny her second husband Ken Dainsby and daughter Bernice.

A Celebration of her Life Open House will be held at the South Thompson Inn Manor House on Saturday, May 7th, 2011 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
