Passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2017 at Corner Brook Long Term Care, Lillian Belbin, at the age of 92. Predeceased by husband Murdock Acorn (WW2), husband Preston Belbin, parents Samuel and Dulcie Belle White, brothers Willis (Marguerite), Oliver (Levie), Albert (Sadie) and Harold, sisters Mary (Joe) Harnett, Violet (Cecil) Sparkes, Mabel (Gordon) MacDonald, Mildred (Alfred) Barnes, Myrtle (Raymond) Cole and granddaughter Melissa McGinnis. Leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Gordon (Remona) Acorn, Alister (Rosalind) Belbin, Eric (Deborah) Belbin, Stanley (Gloria) Belbin and Wade (Wavey) Belbin, brother Raymond (Gertie) White, sisters-in-law Margaret White, Viney Belbin and Cecelia Belbin, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Bennett’s Avenue, Deer Lake. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2 pm from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Deer Lake with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot, Whites Road Interfaith Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
