NEW GLASGOW Harry “Hatt” Alfred Richardson, age 76, of New Glasgow, passed away on May 4, 2011 at home.
Born in Stellarton, he was the son of the late Clifford (Bob) and Viola (MacKean) Richardson.
Harry was a resident of New Glasgow for the past 14 years. He was employed with CN for 39 years and also worked for Avis Rent A Car. Harry enjoyed baseball, playing pool and was also an avid bowler. He was a member of Sharon St. John United Church.
Harry is survived by his children: Dale (Kim) Richardson of Riverton; Cindy (Randy) Peppler of Edmonton; Cathy Richardson of Calgary; Kelly (Jim) Fraser of Rocklin; Bob (Frances) Richardson of Lyons Brook; grandchildren: Sherrill, Nathan, Darrell, Colin, Christine and Nicholas.
He was predeceased by a sister Ruth
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. on Monday followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton with Rev. James Forbes officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Harry may be made to the S.P.C.A or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund.
