O’Neil, Helen Elsie – 87, Truro, died peacefully on Saturday, August 15 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in West St. Andrews, Stewiacke, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Esther (Ramsey) Wright. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Church, Stewiacke, the Rebecca Lodge and enjoyed music. She is survived by sons, Gerald (Reta), Truro, Wayne (Helen), Brookfield; grandchildren, Tanya, Troy, Scott, Alana, Paula and Heather; ten great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father, James Sanderson; brother, Lawrence “Buddie” of Montreal; her husband, Rupert; grandson, Kevin. Visitation will be held today, August 17th from 7-9pm with funeral service on Tuesday, August 18th at 2pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Pastor Bruce Steeves officiating. A reception will follow the funeral service. A private family interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East.
