The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, on Sunday, August 16, 2009 of Peter Louis Gallant of St. Patrick’s, age 79. Peter Louis was the beloved husband of Marjorie; father of Kevin, Brian (Claire) and Mike (Susan); and loving grandfather of Jacob, Evan and Christian; and Ritchie and Matthew. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy (Goodman) Gallant; his brother, Douglas (Anne) Gallant; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Angus; and his sister, Evelyn, and her daughter, Donna. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Church Cemetery.
