Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 15, 2009, Mrs. Hettey Irene Lane of Makinsons, aged 93 years. Predeceased by husband Henry, sisters Estella (Steve) Hynes, Violet (Pleamon) Card, Hazel (Walter) Osmond, brothers Walter (Sadie) Brenton, Maxwell Brenton, Joseph Brenton and stepbrother William Thomas. Leaving to mourn daughter Doreen (Ralph) Snow, granddaughter Pauline (Ian) Farrell, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Visitation Saturday: 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, North River.
