At the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on Saturday, May 7, 2011, of John “Vance” MacKay, Veteran of the Second World War, of O’Leary formerly of Bloomfield aged 90, beloved husband of Reta (nee Bradshaw) MacKay.
He was born at Campbellton on October 3, 1920, son of the late James and Bessie (Walsh) MacKay.
Dear father of Judy Sereda, Bowmanville, ON; James (Joanne) MacKay, Charlottetown and Pauline (David) Gallant, Charlottetown. Loving grandfather Christopher (Lisa), Sereda, Jason Sereda, Kelly MacKay, MichaelMacKay and Michael Gallant.
Brother of Irma O’Hara, Montreal. Brother in law of Mae Cameron, and Everett Bradshaw. Predeceased by his parents, son in law Roman, brothers and sisters Edward, Marion, Muriel, Albert, Kenneth, Dan, Harry, Mysie, Mary and George. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary, at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in the Campbellton United Church Cemetery.
