It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dr. Wayne G. Wheeler announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, August 17, 2009 at the age of 55 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Wanda; two sons: Sean (Tara) of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Stephen of Port au Port East; one special grandson, Kyle Wayne Wheeler; parents, Wilfred and Vera Wheeler of Port aux Basques; one brother, Terry (Suzanne) of Grand Falls-Windsor and their children: Tiffany of St. John’s and Lorieanne of Labrador City; one sister, Jocelyn (Doug) Townson of Florida, USA and their daughter, Sherri (Troy) Kernicki of Florida, USA and a large circle of relatives and friends. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 20th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Daffodil Place in St. John’s or to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
