STIMPSON, Nina Noreen - 1940-2011, Nina Noreen (nee Comeau) Stimpson of Braintree, MA passed away on May 2, 2011 at the Marina Bay Rehabilitation Center in Quincy, MA. Noreen (known as “Reen” by her family) was born on June 20, 1940 in Yarmouth, N.S. and attended the St. Ambrose Convent School with many of her childhood friends. As a teenager, she was employed by the Rozee Photography Studio in Yarmouth, and then moved to Milton, MA in 1958. She worked for many years at the John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston. Noreen was the only daughter of Bernice and Edward Comeau of Yarmouth, N.S., and is survived by her beloved husband, John Stimpson; her brother, Bruce from New York; her brothers Neil and Paul (Dewey) from Yarmouth, N.S.; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother, David. Noreen was the beloved aunt of James, Douglas, Jason, Brian, Michael, Janine and Neil; Godmother of Brandon and Loryn; step-mother of Patrick and Michele; and devoted grandmother of Evan, Makenna, Meghan, Elena and Alex. She will be missed by the many people who respected and admired her courage, and who were grateful for her loyalty and unconditional love.
