ANGEL, Ronald Graham “Ron” - 73, of Wolfville, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011, surrounded by family in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax following a brief illness. Born in Wells, Somerset, England, he was a son of the late Joe and Hilda (Brown) Angel. He was a scientific instrument maker by trade and served for five years with the Royal Air Force. He was later employed with Douglas Aircraft for five years before becoming a Professor at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, from where he retired in 1998. In his younger years he was very athletic and in recent years was a sports enthusiast and fan. He was an avid golfer and a member of Ken-Wo Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed coffee and often frequented many coffee shops and Tim Horton’s locations throughout the area. He also enjoyed playing bridge, puzzles and music. He is survived by his wife, Pat; a daughter, Judie (Alden) Taylor, Canning, Kings County; a son, Jeremy (Seeta), Mississauga, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Sheila, Bristol, England; Marg, Burnham-on-Sea, England; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie, Graham, Brittany, Chelsea, Dylan and Ashna; step-sisters, Josephine and Janet; a special cousin, Ven; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Brian and a step-brother, Stan. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Sandra Fyfe officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society.
