BROWN, Patricia Anne - of Centreville, Kings County, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 2, 2011. Born in Kentville on June 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Hazel (Lockhart) Crouse. She worked as Food Services Supervisor at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium, the BFM Hospital and retired from the Valley Regional Hospital after 35 years. She is survived by her daughter, Shawna, Calgary; brothers, Arthur (Sheila), Billtown; Sheldon (Dale), Alberta; aunt, Ruth Crandall, Centreville; sisters-in-law, Alice Crouse, Ontario; Ruby (Doug) MacKay, Truro; Juanita (Carl) Bezanson, Port Williams; Elizabeth "Betti" (Doug) Gallupe, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Gerald and Roy; sisters, Lillian, Hazel and Yvonne “Bonnie”; foster parents, Lester and Edith Schofield. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
