BEZANSON, Joyce Edna - 75, of New Minas, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hall’s Harbour, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Burpee and Elzie (Morrison) Dunham. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Everett Bezanson; five daughters, Katherine (Terry) Comeau, New Minas; Deborah Bezanson (Rod MacNeill), Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island; Heather (Rob) Creemer, North Alton; Susan (Malcolm) Allen, New Minas; Judy (Steve) McLearn, Greenwich; a son, Derrick (Misty), Kentville; a sister, June (Peter) Croft, Delhaven; a brother, Claude (Joyce) Dunham, Centreville; five grandchildren, one step grandchild, three great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen and Margaret; four brothers, Don, Frank, Harold and Doug. Visitation was held from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, Reverend Quincy Collins officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charge Syndrome of Canada. The family wishes to thank the palliative care team, Dr. Grant and staff at the Valley Regional Hospital and the QEII Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and compassion.
