In her 91st year, passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Friday, January 5, 2018. Predeceased by her loving husband Arthur; parents: John and Louise Chafe; sister Joan; and brother Andrew. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her daughters: Donna (David Down) and Lynn (Robert Kyle); sons: Gordon (Faith Stratton), Horace (Theresa Rahal) and Blair (Wanda); loving grandchildren: Carson, Christopher, Allison, Hayley, Emily, Ashley and Peter; and great-grandchildren: Bridget, London, Cole and Harper; sisters: Alma Pack and Hannah (Clarence) Ayers; brother Alex (Lucy); sister-in-law Gladys Chafe; also loving remembrances by a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Special thanks to the staff of Chancellor Park for the excellent care provided to our Mom. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Sunday, January 7 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday, January 8 from St. Mary’s Anglican Church at 11 am. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society, Newfoundland and Labrador.
