Peacefully at his home in Kinkora on Monday, August 17, 2009 of Ambrose (Amby) McCarville, aged 88 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born on December 7, 1920 he was a son of the late Richard and Josephine McCarville. Beloved husband of Irene (Greenan) McCarville. Loving father of Clarence (Maxine) of Shamrock; Arlene of Borden-Carleton; Barry (Ellen) of Shamrock; Clair (Kathy) of Alberta; Maureen (Dean) of Cornwall and Randy (Shelley) of Freetown. Also survived by a son-in-law David Warren, Kinkora. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survived by sister, Marion (Jack) McKenna, Crapaud. Predeceased by daughter Nora Warren, son-in-law Chris MacCormack and great-grandchildren Maggie, Madison and MacKenzie Keough, brothers Joseph, Aneas and Peter, and a sister Ina Duffy. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Visiting hours Wednesday, August 19, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, August 20, at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, with funeral mass at 10:30 am. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations in Amby’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of your choice. Comrades of Royal Canadian Legion, Borden-Carleton Branch #10 will hold a service of Remembrance at the funeral home, Wednesday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m.
