(1928 - 2009) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family on Sunday, August 16, 2009, Agatha Madeline Hinchey. The loving and much beloved daughter of John J. Hinchey (1888-1945) of Northern Bay and Bridget (McDonald) Hinchey (1889-1979) of Western Bay. Predeceased by her sister Madeline Hinchey (1940) and by brothers: Patrick J. (1990), William J. (Jane) (2005) and James (Ellen) (2009). Surviving with many wonderful memories, her dear brother Morgan (Margaret) of Gander; sisters: Mary Noonan, Gander, Helen Hinchey and Angela (Myles) Philpott and sister-in-law Carrie Hinchey, all of St. John’s; together with an all embracing circle of loving nieces and nephews and many other dear relatives, friends and colleagues. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Torbay Road on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in Agatha’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
