It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Shirley Ruth Osmond announces her passing on January 14th, 2018 in her 82nd year at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques. Mrs. Shirley Osmond was the daughter of the late Richard and Maude Bragg. She was predeceased by her husband George Osmond, Father and Mother-in-Law Albert and Ellen Osmond, Brothers Chris (Ester) Bragg, George (Mary) Bragg, Bill (Mildred) Bragg, Brothers-in-Law Elwood Turner, Harold (Ruby) Osmond, Sister Dorothy (Bernard) Prosser. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her Children Dallas (Charlie) Matthews, Barbara (Terry) Osmond, Stuart (Nancy) Osmond, Brian Osmond, Dave Osmond, Sherry (Albert) Farrell, Margie (Keith) Billard, all belong to Port aux Basques, Tracy (Darrell) Horwood from Eastern Passage, Grandchildren Tina, Krista, Stephen, Shannon, David, Katrina, Christopher, Emma, and Abby, Great Grandchildren Kyle, Kolby, Brody, Grayson, Addison, Teegan, Adele and Liam, Sisters Marilyn (Will) Bragg and Dallas Turner, Sister-in-Law Jane (Jim) Morris, Brother- in- Laws Elias (Margaret) Osmond and Nelson (Kay) Osmond as well as many relatives and friends. The family received friends and family on Monday, January 15th from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm, and on Tuesday, January 16th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 17th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with internment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
